2008 SPECIAL DATES & OVERVIEW

• The Apple Butter Festival Committee meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. The Meeting is held at the Salem Depot.

• Miss Apple Butter Queen and Teen Queen Pageant – September 6 at 7:00 p.m., T. Edward Davis Gymnasium on the campus on Salem International University 

• Amateur Talent Show Preliminaries – September 28 at 2:00 p.m., Depot Pavilion

• Junior Miss Pageant - October 2 at 4:00 p.m., Depot Stage 

• Little Apple Dumpling Pageant - October 2 at 5:00 p.m., Depot Stage 

• Quilt Show - October 2-4, Basement of Salem Baptist Church

• Pet Parade - October 3 at 5:30 p.m., Pavilion Stage 

• Talent Show Finals - October 3 at 6:00 p.m., Depot Stage 

• 5K Run - October 4 at 9:00 a.m., North Bend Rail-Trail 

• Greased Pig Contest - October 4 at 10:00 a.m., lot behind post office 

• Grand Parade - October 4 at 12:00 noon, Main Street 

• Celebrity Auction - October 4 at 2:00 p.m., drive-through canopy of Salem Office, Cornerstone Bank

• Fireworks - October 4 following the Adam Tucker concert

• Car Show - October 5 at 12:00 noon, Judel Glass Products parking lot

• Bicycle Poker Ride - October 5 at 1:00 p.m., North Bend Rail-Trail

• Horseshoe Pitching Tournament – October 5 at 1:00 p.m., lot beside Salem Office, Cornerstone Bank.  Rain Date:  October 12, same time and place
